We are honored to feature the teaching of Tony Walliser, Senior Pastor of Silverdale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. For nearly three decades, Pastor Walliser has led Silverdale with a passion for biblical teaching, authentic community, and global mission.
Born and raised in Central Florida, Pastor Walliser’s journey of faith began in young adulthood when he made a life-changing decision to follow Jesus Christ. He earned his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and studied Theology and Bible at Criswell College, grounding his ministry in a strong biblical foundation.
Although he leads one of Tennessee’s largest churches, Tony serves with what he calls a “small-church-pastor’s heart.” He and his wife Susan have four children and six grandchildren, and they continue to model a ministry centered on family, discipleship, and faithfulness to God’s Word.
Dr. Ankerberg deeply respects the ministry of Silverdale Baptist Church and has personally gleaned much from Pastor Walliser’s faithful teaching. Together, they share a unified mission: to equip believers everywhere to stand firm in truth, defend their faith, and share the hope of Christ with the world.
